Menopause and hair loss treatment

I faced severe hair loss during menopause. Was also gaining weight. Of all the phases, I guess menopause must be the most uncomfortable time in a woman’s life due to tremendous hormonal imbalance. The heavy hair loss was literally causing me depression and sleepless nights. I then decided not to ignore it. Started surfing the net and read almost all the articles and blogs on menopause and how to deal with their issues. Also looked for hair specialists and called dr health clinic to take a prior appointment. But the receptionist very bluntly said that they do not have any appointment system, its on first come first serve basis. This made me re-think if I had made the right choice of the doctor. God knows why but I thought of giving it a try. I took his treatment. There was no significant difference in the hair fall for quite some time, maybe 2 months. I was also trying some home tips like massaging my scalp gently with the finger tips, aromatherapy and what not. As the doctor had said I was also taking vitamin supplements. Inspite of doing all this when I saw no difference in hair fall I started losing hope. But I was consistent. Finally after 4 months my hair fall started reducing. I can only say that be it any treatment, to make it work, you only need to stay calm, patient and be consistent.

Successful Dandruff Treatment

I used to have dandruff all round the year but last winter the severity of dandruff was the highest. Dry flakes would appear on my scalp and hair shafts and over my shoulder and forehead. When Dr Shamsher examined my scalp he found it red and also I had hurt the scalp with my nails while scratching. During the treatment apart from oral medicines he gave me some lotion to apply on the scalp. The lotion would not smell good but give soothing effect to my scalp and i waited for one year to see how it goes in this winter. I am very happy to see that its not come back so far with this winter, so now i thought i should write this blog.

Thank you, the treatment was really good sir, I found much difference after the treatment. Due to my personal problems I could not visit him for all the follow up’s correctly which was my mistake or else the treatment would be much better.

I’m observing a drastic change and speedy recovery over the infection on my scalp. As for now I don’t see any white patches and dandruff is also very less. I have been following Dr Shahid’s instructions thoroughly and not skipped even one of them and I think this is what is helping me for positive result. Hello everyone!! Treatment is good but the doctor needs to be more empathetic and staff needs to be more warm, friendly and soft spoken. After all they are dealing with sensitive patients. I finished my treatment in 6 months with 90% good results so had to visit the clinic only twice but both times I felt the same. After 6 months I had to again visit him so that he could tell me home remedies to follow thereafter which will help me in the growth of my hair. But unfortunately I had to go out of town for 2 months. Informed the doctor and he said that he will send me an email for the same which is yet not come.

Experience was good

Good experience, this doctor knows his stuff well. I had severe itching and white powdery stuff in my head since 3-4 months. Went around and met 3 other doctors (I don’t want to take names of those doctor), but all were saying its dandruff case and asking me to use this shampoo and that ointment and put oil and all that. Dr Shahid is the only one told me that is dye allergy and told me to just stop using dye and everything will be ok. Now been free of allergy for 6months, but he is telling lifelong I cannot apply dye. But good eye for finding the exact problem.

I highly recommend Dr. Shahid Shamsher for hair loss treatments. I was having tremendous hair loss and was almost on the verge of going bald. On my first visit to see him, I got to finally see him after a wait of about 3 hours. After a 10 minute checkup he advised some blood tests. Initially I was angry and thought he was trying to scare me with so many blood tests as if something was seriously wrong with me. But my blood tests showed that I had alarming deficiencies. I must have visited every hair loss clinic in Bangalore and hair fall would also stop but the results would be temporary. After few months again hair fall and a new clinic and a better doctor hunt… This went on for a few years. Ask me how it feels when you lose 200-300 strands per day. I experienced it after my second delivery. However I was negligent and never bothered toconsult any doctor. But later when the problem became more serious I finally saw Dr Shahid Shamsher. Although myhair loss is better now, I have notregained my original thick hair. My hair bulk has really become less. Due to my negligence I missed out on timely treatment. I have been to treatment over there and I can say that he is definitely one the best doctors in Bangalore for hair fall treatments. I would say even in India he is one of the best. He controlled my hair fall within 15 days it became normal and also told me if you want natural growth, you will get only 30% and if you want more, you have to do transplant. But I did not want to spend more, so I did natural growth treatment and definitely more than 30-40% growth has come already in just 6 months time. He said if it comes more, you just count is as bonus. Very good.
