Welcome to the Universal Yoga Classes.
We are an independently run yoga classes purely focused on Sivananda yoga. Anyone can practice yoga. You don’t need any special equipment or clothes - just some space and a strong desire to live a more healthy and fulfilled life. Yogic postures or ‘aasanas’ exercise every part of your body. It involves stretching and toning of muscles and joints, the spine and entire skeletal system. Yoga, not only has positive effects on our physical frame but also on our internal organs, glands and nerves. This holistic approach keeps yoga practitioners in good health. Yogic breathing exercises known as ‘pranayama’ revitalize the body and help control the mind, leaving you calm and refreshed, while the practice of positive thinking and meditation gives increased clarity, mental power and concentration. A tension-free mind liberates us from negative thoughts and impels us to respect others, have patience in life and acquire more knowledge in our areas of interest.
