The restaurant previously known as MATRUBHOOMI was renovated & rechristened as TRISHANA in April 1991.Tucked away in one of Kala Ghoda’s labyrinthine lanes is situated ‘TRISHNA’, the most popular sea food restaurant in Mumbai. Owned by Mr. VIshwanath .S. Anchan & Mr. Ravi .S. Anchan who took over their family business & created some amazing sea food delicacies.

crab in the butter pepper garlic sauce, -lobster in chilly garlic sauce,jumbo prawns tandoor cooked in variety of TONGUE flavours (tandoori, lasooni, hariyali etc). The promfret or rawas (Indian salmon) done in the Hyderabadi style (barbequed with a coating of freshly grounded pepper) is another very popular dish. Starters such as Prawn Koliwada or Squid koliwada (shrimps & kalamari, marinated in a batter and deep fried) are the ideal way to start your food at TRishna, accompanied by a variety of wines, beers, liquiors..etc For the main course there are many more dishes such as- Aloo bhendi fry, mix vegetables in different gravies, paneer mauhan walla etc. Then there is a Hyderabadi dal that is the most popular dal preparation of Trishna. People who do not eat fish food also have a variety of chicken dishes.
