Cons of his treatment - He should have seen the patch when I had first consulted him. This would have saved me of all the efforts of taking the images and sending him and also the emotional stress.

I have heard from a couple of my friends and relatives who have taken treatment from Dr Shamsher Shahid for dandruff or hair fall and they have also been quite appreciative about the treatment and good results. Thankfully I have not yet needed to see a doctor. But I used to have dandruff and with some anti-dandruff shampoos and home remedies I was cured. Hence would like to share if it can prove helpful to others too. Head and shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo is really good, worked for me. You can also try baking soda which is easily available at our home. It can help you achieve itch-free scalp. All you should do is part long hair into sections and sprinkle a handful of baking soda in different places along your scalp. Rub vigorously for a couple minutes and rinse with cool water. This really works and it is also handy and easy to use. Again had worked for me.

Good for hair fall Treatment

I always had fine hair but was very happy that my daughter got perfect hair… perfect in terms of volume and texture too. But I curse the day I gave her the permission to color her hair because for a year or so it looked really great but we both panicked when I saw few strands of early grey hair. Gradually hair fall also started. We consulted Dr Shahidji and I was dead sure that he would definitely undo her premature grey hair but to my despair he said straight that grey hair cannot be turned black but would treat her for hair growth to make up for the loss of her hair which he did successfully for which we are grateful and thankful to him but at the same time disheartened with no treatment available for grey hair. Technology has advanced yet there is no proven treatment that can completely reverse grey hair.

Good Results

When I took Dr Shahid treatment, he told me he very frankly that he can only save the hair, but if I want more growth I should undergo transplant because I was in advance hair loss stage. I agree that the saving has been done, because hair fall is very less now, but I am not all keen on undergoing transplant, because of the various side effects and hassles with it. This is because one of my friends underwent transplant from one dermatologist in Vijayanagar and he faced a lot of problems after that. Plus the growth that has happened now is not more than 20%. And even the cost is very high. It costed him nearly Rs. 1.25 lacs. Now to get only 20% after spending so much money seems ridiculous.
