The Centre for Industrial research and Development (CIRD) is established with an objective of creating a launching platform for the budding managers in identifying the right job for the right man. CIRD helps the industrial houses to identify the right and suitable candidates to work in their organisation.

CIRD involves in research activities like market survey in launching of new products, analyzing the demand and supply , making suggestions to R and D department for product development, identifying issues in sales and marketing etc.

CIRD also play a role of Industry-academia Partnership (IAP) fosters education, R and D and innovation to support the pursuit of these goals by bringing together industry and institute addressing common themes in management education in the functional areas like Marketing , HR, Finance, Operations etc., The CIRD hosts workshops open to students on campus with presentations by experts from academia and industry.

This process can certainly be engaged through regular interactions or exchanges between academia and industry, both for structured education ( by aligning and improving the curricula to meet industry needs ) and for unstructured education , by providing much needed work experience to students.
